Scout has just found the temple of time, I wonder if he has the qualifications to pull out the master sword ;). But seriously, nice attention to detail. I am interested in where you are taking this series. And I wonder what the big button does...

P.S. I would have hit the big button :D.

It looks as though I was mistaken. He didn't find the master sword, he found the phantom hourglass (for those that get the geeky reference). I wonder who is up the stairs though. Not really much else to comment on, but I will say that the strip looks very good. The floor is glossy and the glass is glassy. Everything plays out as it should. As for the story, I know this comic is going somewhere, but it is hard to tell from just the intro pages.

I was excited about this project for a while just because it was, yet again, something that Jim had never done before. First and foremost I won't say that it is the best work Jim has ever done of his comics because frankly, I can't. Every work he has done is wonderful and beautiful in it's own, great way and it is BECAUSE the stories and depth of the characters and details are always so different every time, while still being Jim's art style that I love his series so much because there is truly something for everyone.

That being said, Simon Scout was AWESOME! I haven't enjoyed a Jim series this much in years (Well aside from the stuff I DID with him LOL) But not since Reflection have we had a story that is really this intricate, yet wonderfully simplistic. I had so much fun reading it and the great part is that it is essentially a one shot story and you can start and stop as you please.

It reminds me not only of old serials but when I saw the title I immediately thought the styles of titles that I used to see when I worked for Borders. For lack of a better title example, any of the Hardy Boys books. Those kinds of titles. I LOOOVE THOSE XD

Also something that I felt may have been lacking with some of the other titles done was that this was also for any age group. There is no swearing of any kind, and i can see parents and their children reading this book together. Maybe the parents are fans of the old Buck Rogers, Quantum Leap and Doctor Who shows and they can appreciate it and the kids can just read it and love it.

The story is silly, awesome fun that I will read over and over again. Simon Scout is on my 'must read' list.

All of your titles reach so many different emotions and opinions all over the spectrum. You truly are becoming an accomplished artist.

Eventually, yes. For now, work will be shifting to more UTC.
